Earth Day
Save the earth from chemical waste, and provide safety & peace of mind to isolated victims of domestic violence!
DVS kicks off it’s annual community-wide campaign every April 1st to collect used and unwanted cell phones in connection with Earth Day 2010.
The donated phones are used as emergency 911 phones by victims or recycled. All donated phones are confidentially and securely cleared of personal information and only need to contain the phone and battery. Proceeds from the recycled cell phones will go to support victim service programs.
You can drop-off your used cell phone at any of the following locations:
- Any Mid-Columbia Library
- Any Local Police Departments – Pasco, Richland, Kennewick, West Richland
- Any Yoke’s Fresh Markets
- Sew Me Pretty (Benton City)
- Columbia Basin College
- New Beginnings Thrift Store (Richland)
- US Cellular (on Clearwater)
